Good for your pet.
Pets are part of the family—and they deserve the very best. Supplementing your dog or cat’s diet with seal oil can help our best friends live longer, better, and with more energy (and less shedding). The omega-3 fatty acids in seal oil (DHA, EPA and DPA) are just as essential for dogs and cats as they are for humans, offering improved heart and joint health, immune support, and reduced inflammation. They are also associated with a shinier coat and healthier skin.
Good for the environment.
The global Omega-3 market is highly concentrated with fish oil. The harvesting of tiny fish creates a ripple effect on the marine ecosystem dynamics, leading to less healthy oceans. That’s why Omega-3 seal oil is the better alternative. It’s sustainably sourced from an abundant population of over 7.6 million seals and no chemical processing is required to increase the level of Omega-3. In other words, seal oil is very important because it helps bring balance to the ecosystem.

All Seal oil products currently available on the market are natural which means that they are not made of concentrated seal oil.
Dogs and cats are mammals too; that’s why seal oil is so much better absorbed by them than fish oil is. As well, seal oil contains three important Omega-3s (DPA, EPA, DHA) while fish oil only contains two (EPA and DHA). DPA has health benefits all its own, and it also improves the body’s ability to absorb and utilize EPA and DHA.
Not all pets should take the same amount of seal oil. You pet’s age, their weight and level of activity should determine how much omega-3 they need. For the small dogs or cats, ¼ to ½ teaspoon a day of liquid seal oil will suffice. For small dogs (5 – 10 kg) should take around ½ to 1 teaspoon. Medium size dogs (10 – 25 kg) should take around 1 to 2 teaspoons and big dogs (over 25 kg) should take approximately 2 to 3 teaspoons per day.
Liquid seal oil should be refrigerated once opened. Omega-3 seal oil is relatively more stable and less prone to lipid peroxidation than fish oils. This ensures better performance and a much longer shelf life. Seal Oil liquid bottles usually has a 2 year shelf life.
Almost without exception, dogs and cats love seal oil. Adding this supplement to their diet is not a chore—in fact, they’ll likely lap it up as a treat. For those picky eaters, it might even enhance their appetite! Just add a little on top of their food once or twice a day.
