Bill Penney

Chair of the Sealing Committee

Lead at Bill Penney Sales & Marketing

 

Hailing from Newfoundland and Labrador, Bill Penney is a seasoned professional with a rich sales, management, and marketing background. A graduate in psychology from Sir Wilfred Grenfell College (Memorial University of Newfoundland), Bill spent two decades in Toronto as the head of sales for an international events company before returning to Corner Brook. In 2018, he launched his venture, Bill Penney Sales and Marketing Services, marking a significant career milestone.

 

As the Chair of the Sealing Committee for the Seals and Sealing Network, Bill is pivotal in steering the marketing projects of Canadian Seal Products (CSP). His consultative leadership style, coupled with a focus on customer decision-making and buying behaviours, have been instrumental in elevating the profile of CSP. Bill collaborates closely with team members to ensure the successful implementation of marketing and communication strategies for seal products.

 

Bill’s expertise in sales and marketing, particularly in social media, planning, strategy, and international sales, brings a wealth of knowledge to his work on the CSP campaign. His approach to leadership is centred around inspiring and educating others, setting them up for success, and maintaining a keen focus on the customer.

 

Outside of his professional commitments and responsibilities, Bill is an avid cook and salmon fisher. He enjoys walking his dog, reading, and exploring the art of woodworking. A supporter of the SPCA, Bill’s love for animals is evident in his personal and professional life.

 

Bill’s dedication to understanding customer needs and extensive experience in sales and marketing continue to drive the success of Canadian Seal Products, making him an asset to the campaign and the industry.
