Food Scientist, Perennia
Jonny Rolin is a food scientist and a member of the seafood team at Perennia’s Product Innovation Centre in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. Perennia Food and Agriculture Inc. is a development agency that encourages growth, transformation and economic development in Nova Scotia’s agriculture, seafood, and food and beverage sectors. Jonny’s role is to assist the industry in overcoming technical obstacles and develop new commercial products.
Jonny received his BSc from the University of Western Ontario in 2012 (Biochemistry and Physiology), and an MSc and PhD (Food Science and Technology) from Dalhousie. He has experience developing commercial-scale processes for the manufacture and recovery of marine-derived natural health and pharmaceutical products.
